1. Mix the dry ingredients and wet ingredient separately. Then mix them together to form a smooth batter.

2. Spoon the batter into the muffin cases until they are one-third full. Then add a teaspoon-sized dollop of caramel sauce. 

3. Bake for 5 minutes at 220C or 430F. Then reduce the heat to 180C or 350F and bake for a further 10-15 minutes. 

4. Transfer the baked muffins to a wire rack to cool before tucking in.
