Ingredients list

- Salted butter – Plain/All purpose flour  – Egg yolk – Parmesan cheese – Ground nutmeg – Mustard powder – Dried chives

Step 1

Combine the butter and flour with your hands until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

Step 2

Incorporate the egg yolk, Parmesan, nutmeg, mustard powder, and chives and form the pastry into a ball.

Step 3

Roll out the dough to around ¼ inch thick. Cut into strips around ½ inch wide and 4 inches long.

Step 4

Brush with egg white and sprinkle on some extra Parmesan.

Final step

Bake for 10 minutes at 400°F until golden. Allow to cool and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
