– 200g (or 7oz)
tagliatelle
, – Sea or kosher
salt
– 1 tbsp
olive oil
– 2 cloves of
garlic
– 1
red chilli
– 2
tomatoes
– 120g canned
sardines
– ½
lemon
- juice + zest – A small handful of
fresh parsley
– Freshly ground
black pepper
Step 1
Bring a large pan of water to boil, salt generously and cook the pasta until al dente.

Step 2
Fry the garlic for a couple of minutes. Then add the chopped tomatoes and cook them until they begin to soften.

Add the sardines and cook for a few minutes until they are hot. Then reduce the heat to its lowest and add the lemon juice and lemon zest.

Final step
Add the pasta to the pan and toss everything together. Top with black pepper and chopped parsley and serve.
