Ingredients list

- Onion – Carrots – Celery – Garlic – Bacon – Ground Beef – Olive oil or butter – Red wine – Crushed tomatoes – Beef broth – Tomsto paste – Worcestershire sauce – Dried Oregano - Salt and pepper 

Step 1

Use a food processor to finely chop the onion, carrots, celery, and garlic.

Step 2

Fry the onion, carrots, celery and garlic in butter or olive oil until softened, remove from the pan and set aside.

Step 3

Fry the bacon over a medium heat until crispy.

Step 4

Add the ground beef and brown it over a high heat.

Step 5

Pour in the red wine and let it simmer for a few minutes until reduced by half.

Final step

Add the sofrito, tomatoes, beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and oregano. Simmer for 30 minutes.
