Ingredients list

- Olive oil – Onion – Garlic – Chopped tomatoes – Tomato puree – Fresh oregano – Fresh basil leaves – Sugar – Balsamic vinegar – Sea or kosher salt – Ground black pepper

Step 1

Fry the finely chopped onion in olive oil until soft. Add the crushed garlic and cook for a further minute.

Step2

Add the tomatoes, basil and oregano, sugar, balsamic vinegar and tomato puree. Simmer until reduced. Season with salt and black pepper.

Final step

Add your meatballs of choice and serve over pasta.
