Creamy Salmon Gnocchi (One Pot)
One-pot salmon gnocchi. Creamy, comforting, and ready in 30 minutes. Tender salmon, pillowy gnocchi, in a simple dill and cream sauce.

- 32 oz gnocchi (Note 1)
- 4 salmon fillets
- 2 tablespoon oil
- 4 cloves garlic crushed
- ⅔ cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken stock
- ¼ cup parmesan finely shredded
- 2 tablespoon dill finely chopped
- salt
- black pepper to taste
- 1 lemon juice and zest
Cook the gnocchi according to package directions (usually boiling until they float), then drain and set aside.
Pan fry the salmon in the oil over medium-high heat. Cook about 2-3 minutes per side until cooked through and golden. Remove from pan, take off the skin, flake into chunks, and set aside.
Fry the garlic in the same pan for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the chicken stock and let it simmer for a couple minutes to reduce slightly.
Lower the heat, stir in the cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
Add the parmesan and stir until melted and the sauce thickens slightly.
Add the gnocchi, flaked salmon, and dill. Season with salt and pepper to taste and gently combine everything until heated through.
Remove from the heat and stir in the lemon juice and zest.
- Gnocchi: Use store-bought fresh gnocchi of your choice. DeCecco is my personal favorite.
Serving: Fresh green veggies on the side complete the meal. Broccoli, spinach, peas, or green beans are good options. I also recommend crusty bread to mop up the sauce and a glass of white wine.
Leftovers: Salmon gnocchi tastes best when served fresh. It will keep in the fridge for up to 4 days and can be reheated on the stove or in the microwave. Feel free to add a little water or stock to revive the sauce if needed.
